"Improving the Quality of Pets' Lives, One Pet At A Time!"

The PET TECH PETSAVER PROGRAM teaches you, as a responsible Pet Owner, the proper techniques of CPR, First Aid and Care for your Pets. Data from the American Animal Hospital Association shows 1 in 4 more Pets could have been saved if just one of these techniques had been applied prior to Veterinary Care. Knowing how to apply these Skills could be the difference between life and death, or temporary versus permanent disability. The more you know about Pet First Aid, the better chance you have of keeping a minor problem from becoming a major one.

As a Certified Pet Tech Instructor, I will assist you in promoting caring, conscientious, responsible, and loving Pet Ownership. All of the Skills and Techniques taught are part of the Chain of Care that Veterinarians use, based on the Handbook of Veterinarian Procedures and Emergency Training.

The Pet Saver Program is typically an 8-hour, comprehensive, hands-on classes. Topics will include (but not be limited to) the following skills:

• Primary Assessment ("Triage")
• Rescue Breathing/CPR
• Choking Management
• Bleeding and Shock Management
• Fractures
• "Snout to Tail" Wellness Assessment
• Assessing the Pet's Vital Signs
• First Aid Kits and Preparation

The Course also includes a detailed Handbook on Pet First Aid, and a Certificate of Completion. We will also discuss Insect Bites/Stings, Snake Bites, Poisoning, Seizures, How to Care for your Senior “Pet-izen”, and Proper Dental Care for Pets.
